Johnny LaRocca has always called himself the “Manager of Champions.” As much as any fan and official in APW would like to deny the arrogant windbag that claim, he is right. His track record proves it. Anyone who was willing to shell out the money to enlist his services was instantly put on the fast track to success. Specializing in managing tag teams, LaRocca led the Mafia to two reigns as APW Tag Team Champions, and the same night that Nathan Rulez and A.J. Kirsch hired LaRocca, they won the Tag Team Championship. They now call themselves “E.G.O.” and have held the tag team titles for almost a year under LaRocca’s guidance.
Often acting as the mouthpiece for his clients, LaRocca is a master on the mic, and whether the fans like to hear him or not makes no difference to him. LaRocca is not hesitant to do everything in his power to protect his investment in his clients, often resorting to assaulting his clients’ opponents when the referee’s back is turned. Pompous as he is, no one can deny that the self-proclaimed “gorgeous” manager is a brilliant businessman, a talented orator, and anyone who has his services should consider themselves lucky.
