Ever since his debut after graduating from the APW Bootcamp in 1999, Perez has become arguably the most popular wrestler in the history of APW. His heart, his desire to succeed, and his perseverance have made him a consistent fan favorite. Perez has had incredible success both abroad and in the United States, including more than one reign as APW Internet Champion, one of them lasting over a year.
Many an opponent have underestimated Perez based on his size alone. Those who have were quickly made fools of, as Perez possesses uncanny quickness, an unpredictable in-ring style, and a finishing maneuver that can come out of nowhere. As the time-tested adage goes, it’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog, and pound for pound, Perez may be the most tenacious competitor in APW today. Many fans and wrestlers alike feel that it is only a matter of time until Perez will be strapping gold around his waist again. And for him, that is definitely “OK.”
