"Shooter"
Tony Jones
vs
Vinnie Valentino
(OK opening match,
Valentino is good. He has a lot of potential that I don't think has been taken out of him
yet, but right now he is fine in the prelims. Jones dominated the match, and took Vinnie
to school. The curtain call (which is Jones new finisher) put him away).
Winner: Tony Jones ( * * )

"Filthy" Frank Murdoch (with Al Getz &
"Funboy" Donovan Morgan)
vs
"Bad Boy" Boyce
LeGrande
The action got better, as the fans loved this one. They already hated Getz, Murdoch &
Funboy from their interview at the beginning of the show, and who doesn't love Boyce!?!?!
The fans loved getting on Getz, and he is excellent at playing along with them. A pretty
solid match, with some good psychology. Frank gets the win with a clothesline. Boyce is
getting better everytime out. I think he is a big candidate for MVP in 1999. By the way
"Funboy" is sort of like a Scott Steiner, Val Venis gimmick. Combine the two of
them...and you have...FUNBOY! LOL!...where the name came from I have no idea.
Winner: Frank Murdoch ( * * 1/2 )
Debut of "Ice
Cold" Steve Stoneburg
Security Gaurd Steve came into
the ring to try to break up Murdoch, Funboy & Getz who were tearing up Boyce. Murdoch
shoved Steve, but he got up and promptly hit him with a Stone Cold Stunner!! Then he hit
Funboy and Al Getz with one apiece! Holy Cow! The fans went wild! They thought it was
really Steve Austin in there...but it was better...it was "Ice Cold" Steve
Stoneburg! Then fans chanted STEVE....STEVE....STEVE. Steve explained how tired he was of
setting up the ring and watching everyone else wrestle. He said he was ready to get in
there, and make a name for himself in the ring he had set up for the past 2 years! Then
Modest & Massaro came out and helped Steve & Boyce kill off Al Getz. I think one
of the funniest things I have ever seen was when Al Getz fell off the stretcher! LOL! That
was a classic...that guy is a genius! 5 stars for the whole Steve Stoneburg angle!

"Mad Mosher" Boom Boom Comini
vs
"La Migra" Maxx Justice
This match was declared a no-contest when
Justice attacked Comini before the bell and chokeslammed him on a table (Thats right...not
through a table...but ON a table). Justice grabbed a solid table, that nobody would have
went through. BBC just laid flat on the table knocked out. Modest came out and taunted
Maxx and agreed to finally...FINALLY meet him one on one. However, Roland said it would be
a nontitle match. Modest was fine with that...but Maxx wanted to put Modest out for good
Winner: No Contest

"Gigolo"
Vinny Massaro & Chris "PsYcHo" Ward
vs
"Mack Daddy Enforcer"
Jason C. Clay & Nathaniel Sweete
(with Cholo Marquez & Shane Dynasty)
A few missed spots, but Vinny made up for it himself. He is so exciting to watch in the
ring cuz you never know what move you will see next. I think Jason Clay won the award for
the hardest hit of the year when he nailed Chris Ward with Cholo's Boom Box. That was
SICK! I can't believe Ward still has a face after that. I think that shot may have at
least helped straighten out Wards face :o) Massaro gets the win when he hit Sweete with
the Bitch Slap. The Bitch Slap is a great move, and had the crowd going wild. Chris Ward
is getting better at his breakdancing too. Tony Jones came out to help beat up Vinny
Massaro after the match. Jones is now a part of the XXXPress...he is the SHOOT DADDY! I
still wonder who will talk for the group.
Winners: Vinny Massaro and Chris Ward ( * * )

"Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels
vs
Chicano Flame 2
"Fallen Angel" gets the win with Hells Kiss. Lots of good spots, but a lot of
missed spots too. Maybe I should give it more stars, but that seems about right. I have
seen them both do better, and I know they are capable of it. Daniels can do NO WRONG in my
eyes. He is the TOTAL PACKAGE! Daniels missed no spots, it was all Flame 2, but at 18
years old, with only a dozen matches under his belt...he did very good.
Winner: Christopher Daniels ( * * 1/2 )

"La Migra" Maxx Justice (with Shane
Dynasty)
vs
"Natural One" Michael Modest
The match APW fans have waited years for finally happend. Justice got the win with
consecutive chokeslams that put modest away. However, Modest is still the champ, but I'm
sure this puts Maxx in line for the title shot he and Shane wanted so bad. Afterwards,
Shane got caught in the ring by Modest & Boom Boom (who came back out with one shoe on
LOL!). Modest & BBC killed Shane off, as Modest hit the DVD and BBC hit a big
splash...while Maxx walked away! The best part about it..."BEATHE" BY PRODIGY!!!
That was the greatest...that song is the greatest! APW APW APW APW!!! Shane gets killed,
and Maxx demands a rematch with Modest...great show!
Winner: Maxx Justice( * * * )
