Interview with "Mack Daddy" Jimmy Ripp
(with "Cholo" Max Marquez)

An un-scheduled interview, as Ripp came out interrupting Ring Announcer Jim Cooley with his own microphone. All Ripp wanted to do was talk his usual trash about how every girl in the place wanted a piece of him, and also talked about how he would beat Michael Modest tonight.

(APW CUP)
"No Fear" Chris Ward
vs
Donovan Morgan

As most internet people already knew, this match would not take place.
Donovan Morgan came in regular clothes and told the fans he could not wrestle.
Fans seemed a bit dissapointed. So the Ring Announcer (Cooley), says that Ward has agreed to team with Boom Boom Comini to take on the Chicano Flames

"No Fear" Chris Ward &
"Mad Mosher" Boom Boom Comini
vs
The Chicano Flames

Chicano Flame # 2 stood a little taller and a lot thinner than the "Original" Flame. Boom Boom had an easy time pushing Flame2 around in the beginning, but when Flame got tagged in, the match was getting more competitive. Average match that got spiced up with Flame2 doing a top rope moonsault to the floor on BBC. Thankfully he was ok, cuz it looked like he bonked his head on the floor.
When BBC tried to make the tag to Ward, he jumped down off the apron and wouldn't tag. The fans didn't like this at all, and i couldn't believe it. Ward grabbed the mic, and very quiet & uncertain told everyone "I already wrestled once tonight" (talking about his "match" against Morgan) "and i have another match tomorow night" (at Gym Warz), "i can't do this", and he walked away from the ring...leaving BBC to get beat up by the Flames! BBC was upset with Ward and the Flames are 1-0 after hitting BBC with a flying forearm from the top

Winners: The Chicano Flames ( * )

"Hollywood" Gigolo Rick Turner &
"Suicide Gigolo" Jason C. Clay
(with Nathaniel Sweete)

vs
"Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady &
"Cowboy" Frank Murdoch

I would have liked to see this match go a bit longer, and would have loved to see a bit more from each guy. Not a bad match for the first few minutes. Murdoch got knocked from the ring apron to the first row of fans and was knocked out for a couple of minutes leaving Lep to fight for himself. When Murdoch finally got up, he jumped into the ring and started beating the living (APW) out of Jason Clay. I don't mean wrestling with him, I mean flat out legit punches, knocking Clay clear into October 30th. Turner & O'Grady got in trying to stop things, but the referee called for the bell, and called the match a no-contest. Not sure why Turner/Clay weren't declared the winner, but when the referee makes a decision it's official.
Lep hardly got in any offense, and more time should have been given to Turner, since his fans were all there, and man do people love Erin O'Grady. But the Murdoch/Clay brawl at the end really helps set up their Boxing Match at HH2. These two have been feuding for a solid 2 months now, and something will be settled soon.

Winner: No Contest ( * * )

(APW CUP)
"Bad Boy" Boyce LeGrande
vs
"Gigolo" Vinny Massaro
(with Nathaniel Sweete)

Great match. 4 stars all the way through. This one kept me on the edge of my seat, and like i said it would be, it was the show-stealer. These guys are totally amazing, and still getting better. I think everyone in attendance will agree that this was the match of the night. Lots of near falls, and tons of great exciting moves that kept everyones eyes on the ring. Vinny hit the "Gigolo Drop" but Boyce escaped the pin. Boyce even brought out something new when he hit Vinny with a somersault splash from the apron to the floor! The usual fast paced action that you have come to expect from these two was there also.
In the end, Vinny caught Boyce in the "B***h Slap" for the victory. This
was perhaps one of the most exciting 12 minutes of pro wrestling i have ever seen...seriously

Winner: Vinny Massaro ( * * * * 1/2 )

"Brown Bomber" Robert Thompson
vs
"Shooter" Tony Jones

The hometown boy Robert Thompson recieved a pretty good ovation.
Sorry to say, but this match wasn't as good as it could have been. By this time in the show, the average fan was beginning to lose interest. I hate when that happens. Even heard a couple people say "boring" while Shooter was tossing some amazing takedowns. Anyway, the match got good in the end, when Bomber hit the same series of moves that got him a 4 star victory over Vic Grimes in Terra Nova...Senton Splash... Moonsault... Frog Splash. That got the fans out of their seat, and back into things. If anyone knows how to get a crowd pumped up, it's Thompson. He climbed up into the audience celebrating his victory with the fans, which made them cheer Thompson, and really got them going again

Winner: Robert Thompson ( * * 1/2 )

"Natural One" Michael Modest
vs
"Mack Daddy" Jimmy Ripp
(with "Cholo" Max Marquez)

Another whippin' to add to Jimmy Ripp's list. He actually looked very good in there, with a few flips that he turned into counters, and i love when his opponents charge at him in the corner, and he sits down and gives them a groin shot...love that move! Ripp also took a pretty good looking hip toss from the top rope. All in all, it was a very entertaining Modest-fest...as he pretty much did whatever he wanted to poor ol' "Crack Daddy".
I have to start a new paragraph for this one, just so you will realize how sick this bump was. Ripp got DVD'd by Modest (which is his finisher), but Modest didn't go for the pin. Instead, he placed him up on the top rope, got on the 2nd turnbuckle, and hit the "Death Valley Driver" from the 2nd rope! Holy (APW)!!! This was crazy! I can't believe Jimmy Ripp can take stuff like that...and Modest is one sick guy for even thinking of doing that to him. The move came off perfect, and left the fans jaws on the floor. Needless to say Modest got the win after that move...and is warming up for his Universal title shot at Halloween Hell 2 against Maxx Justice? Or is is Vic Grimes?

Winner: Michael Modest ( * * 1/2 )

The Suicide Kid
vs
"Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels

After intermission, we were treated to the first part of the "Double Main Event". Loved this match. They pretty much did the same thing they did at the Garage a couple months ago, but the fans here didn't realize it. They knew they were seeing great wrestling, and they knew they were seeing moves they have never seen before. But they were too embarrassed to express themselves or something. Anyway, these two worked their butts off, even leaving Daniels yelling at the fans and raising his hand to his ear as if to say "C'mon, let me hear you make some noise".
Great match. A few new moves that i haven't seen from them too. SK slingshotted Angel over the top rope, and then hit a suicide dive over the top onto him. Once back in the ring, Daniels layed the "smack down" on SK in a major way...he took off the "peoples" elbow pad, he layed SK down in the middle of the ring, he ran to one side of the ring, he went to the other, and instead of hitting a lame elbow drop...he leaped to the second rope and nailed a moonsault! This was one of the best things i have ever seen! LOL! I love this guy.
Daniels went for "Hells Kiss" (an amazing twisting diamond cutter)...but
SK countered, and about 1 minute later, SK got caught off-guard with the
devestating move that nobody can get up from. In case you haven't seen it, it is a slop drop that is twisted around in one quick motion to a Diamond Cutter. Daniels got the win in a great 15 minute match

Winner: Christopher Daniels ( * * * * )

APW Universal Title Match
"La Migra" Maxx Justice
(with Shane Dynasty)

vs
"Vicious" Vic Grimes
(Special Referee Michael Modest)

Modest was declared special referee by APW President Roland Alexander when Mt. Plesant High School complained about the violent nature of the two men involved in the match, and asked that they please be kept in line. Vic was sporting a new mask (i think) but i couldn't tell with all the hair he had. His hair was damn mess! :0) Even with a couple of botched spots, Maxx Justice was "on" this night. Brutal blows being exchanged started off the match, and it grew and grew and grew. A couple times out onto the floor, with Vic hitting a somersault splash to the floor on Justice. Once back in the ring, Vic went for a tilt-a-whirl Face Eraser, but Maxx was too heavy and he couldn't hold onto him. Maxx tossed Vic out of the ring, and then did the unthinkable, he hit a plancha (?) over the top rope bodypress on Vic. I mean...he ran across the ring, and jumped over the top rope with no hands (ala Undertaker) and hit Vic on the floor. I couldn't believe what i saw! 6' 7" 303 lbs...great athlete!
Oddly, it seemed like Maxx wanted to fight out of the ring and on the floor with weapons, while Vic wanted to keep the match inside the ring. Maxx rammed Vic's head into the pole and tossed him back in the ring. Vic got the upper hand again, as this exciting war raged on. The fans were really getting back into the show when this match was nearing the end. Vic grabbed Shane Dynasty, and moved out of the way just in time as Justice was making the save, knocking Dynasty out, and to the floor. Vic climbed to the top rope, for a moonsault, but Maxx pushed him off and he crotched the buckle (OUCH!). Maxx then went up to the top rope with Vic, and shoved him off onto the mat. Then Justice climbed to the very top, and did a MOONSAULT! Holy Cow! I couldn't believe it! 6' 7" 303 lbs... I had seem him do it maybe 5 other times...but it still amazes me everytime i see it.
Justice had knocked out Vic, and then he went out of the ring and got two chairs. He was setting up for what looked to be a chokeslam through two chairs. Modest (who had been doing an outstanding job as referee), told Maxx to put the chairs away. Maxx refused, so Modest took it upon himself and shoved Maxx out of the way and went to toss the chairs out. Justice turned around and nailed Modest from behind. Then he chokeslammed Modest. APW Senior Official J.J. Perez came out and called for the bell, and a DQ of Justice. The bell rang, and it looked like Maxx was going to keep the title. Then, out of the dressing room, "Mack Daddy" Jimmy Ripp & "Cholo" Max Marquez (very close friends of Justice) came out. Ripp slapped Perez and yelled at him for calling for the bell. Then Marquez put on a referee shirt (remember, he and Ripp are former referees), and was ready to become the 3rd referee for this match (This was getting CRAZY!) Justice, outraged that he had been DQ'ed, grabbed JJ Perez and chokeslammed him...knocking him out, and then he tossed him over the top rope and onto some security guards! Justice & his cronies remained in the ring against Vic Grimes, but Modest was just waking up. As Justice & Ripp double teamed Grimes (with Marquez now the referee), Modest snuck up behind Marquez, and hit him with a head and arm suplex! Then he caught Ripp with the downward spiral! And when Justice turned around, he caught a downward spiral too! Modest was the referee again, and he told Vic to finish Maxx off. Vic hit Justice with a splash from the second rope and
Modest counted the 1...2...3!!!
The fans were now all standing for this wild ending...and Vic Grimes was the new APW Universal Champion. He had beaten Maxx Justice for the title for the second time now. But as Modest/Vic celebrated the win, APW Senior Referee JJ Perez was just coming to. Perez re-called Modest's decision and awarded the title back to Maxx Justice for the original DQ of hitting Modest (following all of this?) Perez handed the title back to Justice, who with Ripp, Dynasty & Marquez celebrated the continuation of their title reign. This time it was Grimes who would make Perez pay. Vic grabbed the referee and hit an amazing move on him...some sort of sit-down powerbomb in which he flipped Perez totally around so he landed on his face instead of his back. The fans were going crazy and couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe that Perez took that! Modest got the mic and challenged Justice & Ripp to a match against him and Vic right there. But Dynasty said he didn't want to have Maxx Justice beat up Modest for nothing, and that he would have to wait until Halloween Hell 2. Justice, Dynasty & Marquez made their way back to the dressing room, but Jimmy Ripp was still talking trash on the mic. Modest jumped out of the ring and grabbed Ripp, tossing him back into the ring. Ripp was stuck, and his friends were already packing their bags. Grimes hit the "Mack Daddy" with a press slam into a chokeslam (BRUTAL!) and then Modest took off his belt and started whipping him! Ripp ran back to the dressing room and the show was finally over.
This was one of the most exciting matches i have ever seen. Not the best match, but the most exciting. Not in terms of looking for great wrestling, but the angles involved, the punishing violence WITHOUT weapons, all the chaos at the end...definatley one of the top 5 endings to a show i have seen this year.

Winner: Maxx Justice by DQ
