Hello APW wrestling fans,
APW Gym Wars is becoming "Can APW top this" with another great wrestling show for all their loyal APW wrestling fans. Another live and hot crowd filled the historic APW Garage and witnessed history when MALACHI won the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship from Dylan Drake in what many are calling the MATCH OF THE YEAR in APW. This match will be long remembered by the APW fans in attendance and as well as everyone in the building last night.
Also APW added a few "TV SPECIFIC" matches to be filmed in which some of your APW wrestlers superstars would be wrestling twice. The crowd was hot and live for this TV taping and everyone at APW would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Now, lets go to the results!
TV SPECIFIC MATCH #1 NON-TITLE MATCH Dylan Drake made Corvus Ventura submit to the Sharpshooter in 5:33
TV SPECIFIC MATCH #2 "The Mountain From Stone Mountain" Larry Blackwell pinned Tyson Thompson in 4:00 with a Big Splash
TV SPECIFIC MATCH #3 Reno SCUM defeated OMEGA and "Latin Dragon" Junior Morales in 4:48 when SCUM hit their SCUM Doomsday Device on Junior for the pin.
TV SPECIFIC MATCH #4 Jeckles The Jester w/ Freckles pinned "Internet Sensation" Brandon P.Net with the JOKE-SLAM!
GYM WARS
APW Commissioner. JJ Perez came out to recap the situation with the APW World Wide Internet Title being returned to "The British Messiah" Timothy Thatcher after a unanimous vote of 3-0 do to when the special referee for that match, OMEGA struck Thatcher leading to Mr. Wrestling #4 getting the win.
JJ informed that Thatcher would not give Mr. Wrestling #4 his rematch unless he wrestled his rules, BRITISH RULES. Mr. Wrestling #4 has agreed to wrestling under Thatcher's rules, and once all the legal papers are done regarding what those rules are, we will have them for you right here on allprowrestling.com.
JJ Perez also informed the fans that Mr. Prime Time would not be at GYM WARS. The new manager of "Late Night Prime Time", Marcus Mack informed JJ that MPT was in Hollywood signed to appear in a movie that was coming out in 2010. Marcus informed the APW Commissioner that they would have the match at Kristmas Kaos on December 12th instead. JJ Perez said the APW fans came here to see a match and they will get one. Commissioner Perez told Marcus to find a partner for "Wrestling Personified" Rik Luxury or Marcus would wrestle as Rik Luxury's tag team partner tonight!
1) BOOMBALA pinned "Hard" Cory Dayton in 4:06 with a running powerslam.
The savage, BOOMBALA who what seemed like was taking orders from a shrunken head who Boombala made an APW security guard hold up, and had the wild man in a feeding frenzy against Cory Dayton. The popular APW newcomer Dayton put up a tough fight, but BOOMBALA's size and strength was too much to overcome.
2) "Old School" Oliver John pinned Vennis DeMarco in 8:18 with a "O'Conner Roll" with a bridge in a classic match.
During referee check of Vennis DeMarco's glove, Vennis said "I don't need this glove" and took it off and threw it to the ground. Vennis stuck with Oliver and wrestled a clean match. It was back and forth between both competitors, and at several times during this match it looked Vennis would score the upset. After Oliver scored the victory, he went over to Vennis and shook his hand and also raised DeMarco's hand to the crowd. In a historic moment, the APW fans gave one of their most hated APW wrestlers a thunderous applause for his hard and clean work ethic in his match with "Old School".
After Oliver John left the ring side area, Larry Blackwell came into the ring and told Vennis, "YOU ARE STILL A LOSER" and walked out. No matter what Larry Blackwell thinks, Vennis DeMarco proved that he has the talent to be one of the top wrestlers in APW.
3) Mr. Wrestling #4 pinned "Out Of Control" Matt Carlos in 8:31 with a inside cradle.
This was their second meeting since their classic in August. Matt Carlos looked like he really studied that first match and what mistakes he made in August, he didn't make them in this return match. But, Mr. Wrestling #4 with all that experience was still too much for the talented young lion. Mr. Wrestling #4 continued his winning ways and is looking forward to his rematch with "The British Messiah" Timothy Thatcher in a BRITISH RULES MATCH at Kristmas Kaos on December 12th.
4) "The Boss" Derek Sanders pinned "Big Country" Jody Kristofferson in 7:17 to with his feet on the ropes for leverage.
In their third meeting in a row, "The Boss" cheated to beat Jody. Frustrated and upset with another cheap loss, Jody challenged Derek Sanders to meet him one more time at Kristmas Kaos and wrestle him like a man with some pride and honor. Derek agreed, but only if Jody agreed that if he wins again that Jody would have to get on the microphone and announce to the entire APW audience that " The Boss, Derek Sanders is the greatest wrestler in wrestling today". Jody agreed and the rematch is set for Kristmas Kaos on December 12th.
5) "Double D" Dave Dutra defeated "The Nice Guy" Vinny Massaro when Massaro on purpose punched referee Jon Roberts and took his belt and whipped Dave Dutra until luckily several wrestlers from the APW locker room came out to run Vinny off. Match Time: 7:43
What another wild match in this feud. Massaro took things too far with his actions and was later that night fined for his actions. Dutra had several welts on his back from the belt lashings. Again, this feud is not over and Dutra was in APW Commissioner, JJ Perez's office demanding a rematch. We will let you know right here at allprowrestling.com if that match is signed.
6) Reno SCUM defeated "Wrestling Personified" Rik Luxury and the partner Marcus Mack found to replace MPT in this contest, Brandon P.Net in 9:08.
Rik Luxury avoided both members of the Reno SCUM as much as possible and looked like he and Marcus wanted Brandon P.Net to do most of the work. Eventually, Luxury bailed out on his tag team partner and left Brandon P.Net to the wolves. Luxury lived to fight another day, but the Reno SCUM promises The Late Night Prime Time funeral will be coming soon!
7) MALACHI pinned Dylan Drake with the Big Boot To The Face in 13:19 to win the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship in ***** star CLASSIC!
Dylan Drake for eleven months defended the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship with honor each and every match, proving that he will go down in history as one of the greatest APW Universal Heavyweight Champions of all time. Oliver John, Vinny Massaro, Jeckles The Jester, Derek Sanders, Adam Thornstowe, Mr. Wrestling #4, and Dalton Frost tried to take the championship from Dylan, and all fought hard, but failed.
On November 7th, Dylan Drake stepped in the ring with MALACHI, and the monster of "The Association" just dominated Dylan. Dylan Drake fought with everything he had, but the power and strength from MALACHI was just too much to handle. At one point Dylan nearly locked in his submission hold, the Sharpshooter, but Dylan was unable to turn the monster and Malachi powered out of the hold. Many wrestling fans speculated if Dylan would have locked on that hold, he still would be the APW Universal Heavyweight Champion.
The reign of MALACHI is here, and he is planning on holding the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship a lot longer then Dylan Drake and retiring as champion.
Be sure to join us at KRISTMAS KAOS on DECEMBER 12th and DO NOT FORGET THAT NEW start time of 6:30PM!

What a card! Don't know that it was better than Halloween Hell but the main event sure was. Every match was solid. You fans witnessed something special in 1997 in the garage. The garage became historic for its matches from 1997 to late 2002. Many top graduates including Spike Dudley, Crash Holly, Michael Modest, Donovan Morgan, Bison Smith (Pro Wrestling Noah Japan), Sara Del Rey (ROH). Dalip Singh (Great Kahli WWE), Bobby Quance and Melissa Anderson (Alissa Flash TNA). That was a special era and loaded with talent.
APW fans are witnessing something very, very special. All Pro Wrestling was never sure it could rebuild a talent roster that was torn down in 2002. All good things come in due time. With booker John LaRocca booking some of the top talent in Northern California and the APW Boot Camp continuing to be the top training school in the industry developing young fresh talent, there has never been a deeper talent roster and the matches have never been this solid from top to bottom of the card in 14 years of APW live events.
This is a special team that has been built in the last 18 months. We have an awesome production team. With the help of Shane Mai and MoJack as the leaders, we have a tight production crew and production equipment with special lighting, sound, video, cameras and cranes to enhance television production.
Thanks to Lil and her leadership with our building remodel, we have a very production friendly facility that includes remodeled locker rooms, television production sets for interviews and vignettes. We have some great digital camera production coming from our volunteers. We have models that are being interviewed for special use in our television production. It seems we've done more in 18 months than we've done in the first 16 1/2 years and I can't thank enough all the volunteer staffing no matter how little or how much they have contributed. I can't thank enough the hard-working students which are still the backbone of the training school division and play a huge part in all of our live events including Gym Wars.
Lastly, I can't thank enough all the pro wrestlers who put their bodies on the line each and every time they step into the ring. Like I said earlier, this is the deepest and most talented roster we have ever had. Some would never know this but Malachi has a bad shoulder and probably shouldn't wrestle for 4 to 6 weeks. With MPT already missing, this guy went out there and took one for the team. Of course, nobody in their right mind would pass up a title shot in APW, injured or not but you get the point.
I have played such a small role with this period of growth. I try to enhance the live events and the television production and continue to try to teach the wrestlers with hope that someday APW is the talk of the pro wrestling industry again like it once was. Everyone has such a teachable spirit that includes respect and humbleness. I wish I could contribute more but there are some special people that have picked up the ball and ran with it. When you are a running back and you are given the ball, you run with it and most have.
This is a very large team and large teams are difficult to manage but this has been the friendliest family locker rooms in our 14 years of doing live events. The moral is at an all-time high. The wrestlers are willing to learn and willing to put their bodies on the line. This is one talented group of wrestlers that John LaRocca has assembled. Lately, I pinch myself because just when you think it can't get better, it does!
I ask all of our loyal APW fans to spread the word about APW. Send us students, send us people who want to celebrate their birthday party with a pro wrestling theme. I encourage our fans to bring signs, bring your canned food and unopened toys to our live events. If we ask for 3, bring 5. This is the holidays and many families go without at this time of year. Bring large signs and you'll get the best seats and be visible on television. Yell and scream your asses off (no profanity please because of television) and show your support for those that are working hard in and out of the ring. Trust me, this great team can get better with your support. They've proved it over and over again over the last 3 months and just when you think they can't, they take it to another level. You wrestling fans are witnessing something very special.
I want to congratulate Dylan Drake on a great run. When I'm wrong, I admit I'm wrong. I didn't think Dylan was ready for a title run because of his lack of experience yet, he produced match in and match out and got better. His interviews are some of the best. He deserved and learned and gained lots of valuable experience. I don't feel bad that he proved me wrong. I feel proud! Trust me, I am not the only person that missed the boat with Dylan Drake. Nice run Dylan! I tip my hat to you. You are not done my friend. I know you'll fight tooth and nail until you are at the top again and who knows, it may come sooner than people think. Only you can prevent success to Dylan Drake. Keep working hard in the ring and on your body.
Malachi, you brought your A+ game last night and you have gotten so much better you are now the champ. You are one tough SOB and it's gonna take a real challenge to take that championship from you.
I hope Jon Roberts recovers from the suplex he took last night. I certainly hope Dave Dutra recovers from his beating last night. There is no doubt this top APW rookie has to be dealt with. I can't honestly say there was a bad match last night and there were only a couple average matches. That was on the heels of a great Halloween Hell.
If you miss Kristmas Kaos, you must be a scrooge. Can't wait to see what next show produces...
