Coming out of two nights of hot APW wrestling action, the tempature does not drop with our next Gym Wars event coming up on Saturday, August 14th, 2010. Santa Rosa, California saw history made when “The Boss” Derek Sanders defeated Jeckles The Jester to win the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship for a third time. “The Boss” has been claiming he is the best in APW today, and now he has the hardware to prove it. “The Boss” might want to thank his protege Will Rood for the assist in that title win though.

The Main Event will be the APW Universal Heavyweight Champion, “The Boss” Derek Sanders defending his championship against Dylan Drake!

Over the last week this title match was in heavy negotiations and almost was nearly canceled. APW Championship Committee announced Dylan Drake as the number one contender for the championship, but “The Boss” Derek Sanders refused to wrestle Dylan. “The Boss” says in 2010 he has defeated Dylan Drake twice and doesn’t feel he deserves a title shot. True, Derek Sanders does hold two victories over Dylan Drake, but both times those victories where very controversial.

With getting a submission victory on Derek Sanders in the tag team main event at our last Gym Wars and scoring an impressive victory over “The British Messiah” Timothy Thatcher, the APW Championship Committee felt that Dylan Drake was indeed worthy of his number one contender status.

“The Boss” and his team of lawyers submitted a proposal that “The Boss” would defend his title against Dylan Drake, but with one added stipulation that this will be Dylan Drake’s only title shot at the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship as long as “The Boss” Derek Sanders is the champion.

The APW Championship Committee talked with Dylan Drake about this stipulation and Dylan Drake has agreed to it. Dylan knows that “The Boss” does not want to defend his title against him, and if this is the only way he can get the champion in the ring, then this is how it is going to be. Dylan says that he only needs one shot to win the championship and he will not let his fans down.

So it is do or die for Dylan Drake coming up on Saturday, August 14th when he steps in the ring against the APW Universal Heavyweight Champion, “The Boss” Derek Sanders. Will Dylan Drake become a two time APW Universal Heavyweight Champion or will Derek Sanders show Dylan that he truly is “The Boss” of All Pro Wrestling?

Nobody in APW is hotter then “Big Country” Jody Kristofferson in All Pro Wrestling today. Jody has racked up victories over “The Nice Guy” Vinny Massaro and the 7ft giant, “The Wrecking Ball” Paul Isadora. “Big Country” toppled the giant and now he will scale a mountain when he steps in the ring with the 399lb mountain from Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Larry Blackwell and his manager Matthew Theall have been having words with each other in recent weeks. Blackwell has been upset with Theall direction of his career after booking him in a tag team match up against The Reno SCUM. Blackwell didn’t want to waste his time in a tag match and wanted to wrestle in singles matches to move up in the rankings for a title shot. Blackwell got back on track with a win over Tyson Thompson in Santa Rosa, and now has his sights set on “Big Country”.

Will “Big Country” be able to take down Larry Blackwell with his spear? Or will Blackwell crush Kristofferson with his huge big splash?

Both men are looking to get their APW careers back on track going into this contest. DeMarco was close to winning the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship from Jeckles The Jester last month, but that was ruined when “The Boss” Derek Sanders came in and attacked Jeckles. DeMarco has been on a great run in 2010 when hearing the cheers from the APW fans. Finally, DeMarco is living up to that potential that everyone said about him when he debut in 2003. DeMarco wants to be kept in the thick of things in the title picture and a win over a former World Wide Internet Heavyweight Champion will keep him there.

“The British Messiah” Timothy Thatcher came out with only one win the Super Summer Series last month. Many experts and APW fans thought the smart money to win Bracket B was on Timothy Thatcher. 2010 has a been a tough year for Thatcher since losing his APW World Wide Internet Heavyweight title back in January to Dave Dutra. With the second half of 2010 here, Thatcher is looking to go back to his winning ways and first step is Vennis DeMarco.

Blackwell’s manager, Matthew Theall came to the APW offices and demanded this match up. Though his wrestler defeated “The Latin Dragon” Junior Morales in a match last month, Theall wants to make a statement with his team by defeating the number one tag team in California today, The Reno SCUM.

Larry Blackwell and Corvus have teamed in the past and know each others strengths and weaknesses very well. They will need that much needed ring time together when they go up against The Reno CUM. Theall believes that a win over The Reno SCUM will thrust himself and Blackwell back into the spotlight and back in the title picture.

The Reno SCUM of “The Rock Legend SCUM” Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend when given the word that Theall laid out this challenge, the SCUM quickly signed the dotted line. The Reno SCUM never backs down from a challenge and would love to derail Matthew Theall’s plans of Larry Blackwell title hunt back on track. One part of this tag match I am personally looking forward to seeing is Luster The Legend vs. Larry Blackwell. If anyone can move “The Mountain From Stone Mountain” it is Luster The Legend.

Also of note, Larry Blackwell was upset at his manager Matthew Theall for signing this match up without consulting him. Theall took a verbal lashing from several minutes on the phone from his client when Blackwell heard about the match. Though upset, Blackwell agreed to the match and he is confident that he and Corvus will defeat The Reno SCUM.

Now signed for Friday, July 9th in Hayward, California at the historic APW Garage is Mr. Wrestling #4 taking on “Out Of Control” Matt Carlos in their third meeting in All Pro Wrestling.

On August 15th, 2009 these two men had a classic match on hot summer night in 2009. Many APW experts and APW fans thought that Mr. Wrestling #4 would school the young star and cruise to an easy victory. Matt Carlos proved everyone wrong and stood toe to toe and hold to hold with the masked wrestling marvel. Many of times Matt Carlos was a half a count away from pulling off the biggest win of his career. Carlos made one crucial mistake and Mr. Wrestling #4 locked a backslide and scored the pin.

On November 7th, 2009 these two fan favorites once again met inside the squared circle. Though it was no a winter night, the wrestling was still hotter then ever between these two. This time Mr. Wrestling #4 did not take take Matt Carlos lightly and both men put on another classic match up. Once again Mr. Wrestling #4 went for a backslide, but Carlos slipped out of hit. The veteran quickly caught Matt Carlos with an inside cradle and once again came out on top.

Now on Friday, July 9th at the historic APW Garage in Hayward, California, Mr. Wrestling #4 will take on “Out Of Control” Matt Carlos. In 2010 no wrestler has been hotter then Matt Carlos and he feels now he has all the momentum going into this match and he believes he will finally defeat Mr. Wrestling #4.

Mr. Wrestling #4 is ready for this challenge and ready to move up the ranks for the APW World Wide Internet Heavyweight Championship. To do that he must defeat Matt Carlos. Now that Mr. Wrestling #4 is done with his war with Larry Blackwell, he wants to focus his career in APW at finally capturing gold.

The MAIN EVENT signed for July 9th will be the APW Universal Heavyweight Champion, Jeckles The Jester and Dylan Drake teaming up to take on the team of “The Boss” Derek Sanders and Malachi.

All four men have scores to settle going into this tag team contest. Jeckles is looking to get revenge on “The Boss” Derek Sanders for attacking him during his APW Universal Heavyweight title defense last month against Vennis DeMarco. Dylan Drake is also looking for a measure of revenge against “The Boss” for all the trouble he has caused him this year and Malachi is looking to take down Jeckles for dethroning him for the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship back in May.

“The Boss” Derek Sanders has really gotten himself into some hot water here in All Pro Wrestling with not only Dylan Drake, but now the APW Universal Heavyweight Champion, Jeckles The Jester. Sanders won the Super Sumer Series last month and is now officially the #1 Contender for the APW championship. “The Boss” let Jeckles know quickly that he wants his championship and he will do anything to take it.

“The Boss” also has Dylan Drake still looking to get his revenge ever since “The Boss” cost Dylan his chance to regain the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship back in January of this year. All year Derek has been either avoiding confrontation with Dylan or when they did step inside the squared circle together, “The Boss” always used dirty tricks to win those matches.

Going into this tag team match, “The Boss” got a monster in Malachi stand by his side. Malachi also has an agenda on his mind as well going into the July 9th main event. Malachi was dethroned by Jeckles for the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship and he would like nothing more to remind Jeckles that the championship is his and he is going to do so with a big boot to the side of the face of “The Jester”.

The second match signed for July 9th will be “Big Country” Jody Kristofferson taking on “The Nice Guy” Vinny Massaro. These two rivals met in the Super Summer Series and both men went at each others throats. Both men brawled all over the APW Garage and even into the parking lot. Jody was able to knock Vinny down and run back into the building to win the match via count-out. For “Big Country” this was a small victory over Vinny, and on July 9th he plans on putting an end to their war once and for all.

Vinny Massaro has been trying to take Jody out of All Pro Wrestling since last years Kristmas Kaos event. For Massaro, ending Jody’s career means more then any championship in All Pro Wrestling today. “The Nice Guy” claims he will put and end to the career of APW’s talented rookie, but “Big Country” won’t go down without a fight.

In this final conflict, will we see the end of Jody Kristofferson’s career in this sport? Or will “Big Country” rise to the occasion and shut the mouth of Vinny Massaro once and for all.

The first match announced for GYM WARS on July 9th is an APW World Wide Internet Championship match as the champion, “Double D” Dave Dutra takes on “Wrestling Personified” Rik Luxury with his manager Markus Mac.

At the SUPER SUMMER SERIES last saturday, the APW World Wide Internet Heavyweight Champion, “Double D” Dave Dutra showed the heart that all the APW wrestling fans knows beats inside him as fought through a knee injury that he suffered in his first match against Mr. Wrestling #4. Dutra survived that match going to a time limit draw and then he quickly had to face Dylan Drake. Dutra battled and held on and that match went to a time limit draw. Finally, Rik Luxury took advantage of Dutra’s injured knee and defeated the champion.

It is one thing to take a strategic advantage of another wrestlers injury, but to try to injure you opponent after the bell and put him on the shelf there is just no excuse. Luxury and his manager, Markus Mac gloated to the locker room like they defeated Dave Dutra for the championship. Yes, Luxury holds a win over the champion, but he holds a win over a champion who was not a 100%.

On FRIDAY, July 9th, at the historic APW Garage in Hayward, California we will see if “Wrestling Personified” can defeat a healthy “Double D” and take that APW World Wide Internet Championship.

Newly crowned APW Universal Heavyweight Champion, Jeckles The Jester will defend his championship against Vennis DeMarco!

APW Championship Committee came to the new champion and gave Jeckles his choice as to whom he would like to defend his title against at the Super Summer Series. To everyones surprise, Jeckles picked Vennis DeMarco as his opponent. Jeckles said that he wanted to face DeMarco one on one because when Jeckles started out in the wrestling business one of his first matches was against DeMarco.

Jeckles described that match with Vennis as being one of his toughest and also one of the most important matches of his career. In that match the veteran DeMarco took Jeckles “to school” and Jeckles had no answer for anything that DeMarco dished out. Jeckles was beaten, but that loss only inspired him that much more to be the best in pro wrestling. Now that Vennis DeMarco has turned over a new leaf in his wrestling career, Jeckles says that makes Vennis that much more dangerous and that he wants another shot at Vennis DeMarco.

Vennis DeMarco since listening to the All Pro Wrestling fans has really been on a hot streak. Last month, DeMarco scored the biggest win of his career when he pinned the 399lb “Mountain From Stone Mountain” Larry Blackwell in the center of the ring. Beating a former double champion in Blackwell showed the APW fans, the APW wrestlers, and the APW Championship Committee that DeMarco is finally reaching his potential in the single ranks. DeMarco when hearing the news was honored that Jeckles would grant him this title shot and thanked him for giving him this opportunity. DeMarco plans on not letting this title shot go to waste and he is planning on winning the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship.

To give the winner of Bracket A and Bracket B some breathing room before the finals, All Pro Wrestling has signed a bonus crowd pleasing match when “Out Of Control” Matt Carlos takes on OMEGA!

Both of these men have been on a roll in All Pro Wrestling with both men having their sights set on the APW World Wide Internet Heavyweight Championship. A win here for either wrestler will get them one step closer to getting a title shot.
