Live from the famous APW Garage in Hayward, CA we are proud to bring you another action packed, on the edge of your seats edition of GYM WARS! This is already shaping up to be one hell of a show as we begin our journey towards one of APW’s biggest shows of the year, Halloween Hell XI.
For the past few months APW has played host to royalty, to wrestling personified, to one of the most controversial masked figures in wrestling history, as well as a boss, and even an association. However on August 2nd, 2008 The Garage will be rockin’ and a rollin’, when APW brings you a rematch between Jeckles the Jester and “Wrestling Personified” Rik Luxury to decide a number one contender to the APW World Wide Internet Championship. As you may recall Luxury thought he had set his date with destiny when he defeated Jeckles last month to become the number one contender. But as seen earlier this week, APW Commissioner JJ Perez has decided that due to Rik Luxury’s use of a chain to secure the victory, he must defeat Jeckles one more time, and this time, Luxury must win fair and square. This match is one that is certain to be one for the history books.
Speaking of history, Dylan Drake has already begun his journey into the annuls of wrestling history by pinning the APW Universal Heavyweight Champion “Old School” Oliver John back on July 12th. As per Drakes request, (as seen on the APW youtube account) The Pro Wrestling Council has decided to grant his request and has signed the following title match for the main event of the evening. It will be Association leader, and reigning APW Universal Heavyweight Champion “Old School” Oliver John defending his title against a GYM WARS hero Dylan Drake. Dylan has come a long way since his days as the voice of APW. I am sure that everyone is waiting to see what Drake has got when the lights are on bright, in this Universal Title match.
