On Saturday November 8th at the Brentwood Oaks Equestrian Center, approximately 300 tag-team partners showed up to help Nicholas Gordon fight his battle and celebrate his 6th birthday. I can’t say enough about the people involved including Vinnie Massarro, the wrestlers and the many people who contributed including some fellow workers at Clarks Pest Control who along with Vinnie helped organize the live pro wrestling event in trying their best to exterminate the arachnoid cyst.
The event started with some great music by Tracy’s own Christian alternative rock band, SunRising. The band played prior to the pro wrestling event, during intermission and immediately following the pro wrestling event. The pro wrestling event was great in many ways. I thought it was great that Nicholas Gordon kept winning battles all night long. The first battle he won was when he entered the ring and Nicholas proceeded to deliver knockout punches to the opponents of Joe Applebaumer and the Bad Apples and then he joined them in an in-ring celebration. Later, Nicholas returned to the ring when at the end of the Battle Royal, the Bad Apple brothers showed their class by not wanting to wrestle each other and awarding the Battle Royal to Nicholas Gordon who came into the ring with all of his closest friends. What an in-ring celebration this was. There was the successful pro wrestling debuts of “Double D” Dave Dutra and Jody Kristofferson. Double D had a large following at the show as he gave it his all but came up short in his match with Larry Blackwell. Dutra made an impressive debut despite the loss. Later on, son of famous actor Kris Kristofferson, Jody Kristofferson, made his debut against Vinnie Massarro. Vinnie had won the match but fans pointed out that Massaro had a handfull of tights and the ref restarted the match, much to the surprise of Massarro and Kristofferson rolled him up for a pin. Jody’s family was in attendance and you could see by the smiles on their faces, they were very proud of their son. Kris Kristofferson who last appeared as Whistler in Blade with Westley Snipes was very accomodating for autographs and pictures and everyone there seemed to love his presence. Immediately following the wrestling event, APW owner, Roland Alexander presented Nicholas Gordon with his own championship belt to wear on his wrist. At the very end, there were many photo ops with the debuting wrestlers and their respective friends and family.
There were many who contributed to this great cause. You can view all the people Nicholas wants to thank by visiting his website at helpnicholasgordon.com There are many medical costs that continue to mount and are necessary to help Nicholas Gordon fight his battle. Nicholas needs more tag-team partners. Please make your donation to:

Anthony:
The pleasure was all ours. I almost feel selfish in saying it brought great pleasure to see the smile on Nicholas’s face when I presented him with the belt. The wrestlers had a grand time doing this. What better way for 2 APW Boot Camp students to make their pro debut than on a fund-raiser like this. Nicholas seemed to enjoy the evening running around with all his little friends. It was also very classy for the wrestlers who took the time to make sure that Nicholas Gordon was the true and big star of the night. Props to Vinnie Massarro for asking our help and props to Johnny LaRocca for getting APW involved. Anytime we can ever do something for Nicholas, please don’t hesitate to ask and we very much look forward to seeing you and Nicholas at a future GYM WARS including Kristmas Kaos!
