Congratulations to 2007 APW Awards Banquet Winners

All Pro Wrestling would like to take the time to thank all staff, wrestlers, students and volunteers for all of their hard work in 2007 and wish them and their families a HAPPY HOLIDAY season.

APW congratulates the winners and runner-ups of every award earlier this month at the 2007 Annual APW Awards Banquet. You are all very deserving of your awards. It has always been a special night of recognition and every year has a different twist and this year was no different thanks to the hard work of Gabe and Shannon Ramirez, Jason Deadrich, Chris Kelsey and Shane Mai and all the Boot Camp students who helped with the set-up and tear down of the production equipment.

This year was special as the banquet was held at the Crown Plaza Hotel. The room had a Christmas spirit, the food was great and plentiful and the APW family put a close to another year in business and had the opportunity to break bread together during this festive occasion.

This year was special as it was the first time all the nominees took home “the award” as there was a 4-way tie in our MVP race. Dana Lee was awarded for the fine job he has done not only this year but in prior years as our Beginners Fundamentals Coach. MPT was awarded for his loyalty to APW, his hard work in the Pro Camp on show days and for having the only other promotion in California (PCW) that does things the right way. Shannon Ramirez was victorious because of all the hard work she does behind the scenes. No matter what good things people say about Shannon, she is still very underrated in her capacity on the management team and her hard work certainly does not go unnoticed. Last but not least, we congratulate Kafu, for being a winner and a leader. Kafu is the leader in the locker room, on the road and is a class guy who his loyalty to the boys and APW is unsurpassed by any previous APW Boot Camp graduate/wrestler. We have had some in his position before but none that were not selfish for their own personal gains and certainly none that wouldn’t do anything for his fellow brother. I am hoping for many great things in the future pro wrestling career of Kafu and many other graduates from the Boot Camp and hope that other graduates follow his example.

The remaining results for the Awards were as follows:

  • BOOT CAMP STUDENT OF THE YEAR - Matt Carlos
  • ROOKIE OF THE YEAR - Jeckles the Jester
  • REFEREE OF THE YEAR - Tom Castor
  • MANAGER OF THE YEAR - Johnny LaRocca
  • MOST POPULAR WRESTLER - Cheerleader Melissa
  • MOST HATED WRESTLER - Oliver John
  • TAG-TEAM OF THE YEAR - “E.G.O.” Derek Sanders and Nathan Rulez
  • WRESTLER OF THE YEAR - MPT
  • M.V.P. -Dana Lee, MPT, Shannon Ramirez and KAFU

The people who won really deserve it. I can’t wait to see them improve and grow at the APW garage in 08.

I also wrestle for a promotion called all pro wrestling located in bristol tn. This organization is a lot older than your of course. I think that what you all are doing is great though.

How about the real winners, the fans in Bakersfield, for actually believing all the crap you all spewed show after show, about how great them the fans are and that you appreciate them. But then in the dark of the night you leave Bakersfield never to be seen again. For that, yes APW does deserve an award, how about SCUM OF THE EARTH.

    1. Thanks for your support Cody.

    2. Hard to believe there is another APW in pro wrestling that has been around prior to 1991. Wow!

    3. Thanks IDOT GRANDE!

This dude is worse then me. But they have a great point. Why wasn’t there an award for backstabber of the year or something. For you guys ditching us the fans of bako?

  6. APWGabe, December 30, 2007:

With comments like this, I think it is easy to define who wins the “backstabber of the year” I cant believe we can be called that for not doing shows in a town where it we tried everything to make it a success for all. I guess people don’t know what they have until it is gone.

What are you talking about Gabe. We came out and we supported the hell out of you guys. And you even stood right there in the middle of the ring and thanked us for it. Not a single word EVER, about the numbers being too low, the crowds sucking, never coming back. You just up and skipped town. All we have ever asked for is a reason. And all along all I ever heard was I was the only one complaining, well obviously that was a lie, as I have said, there is a lot of outrage. Look at all the fans who came and pay for a ticket at each show. We are pissed, and we would like to know why you refuse to acknowledge us.

  8. APWGabe, January 5, 2008:

Yup, the numbers were so strong, we said lets leave now. Andrew, please find another place to annoy, maybe your training school or whatever, but you are from a fan, you are a paying stalker if that.
