  1. APWGabe, July 29, 2007:

The show opened with PCW ring announcer Dylan Drake welcoming the capacity crowd back to the Oroville Municipal Auditorium. He then announced the opening match and the tag team of Dana Lee and Jeckels only to be cut off by the PCW Heavyweight champion Rik Luxury. He said that “this is the house that PCW built” referring to the OMA and that he looked forward to the three way match later in the night against Scotty Aboot and Oliver John even though they “cheated” their way to victory at the last Night of Champions. He was then interrupted by MPT who came to the ring and couldn’t take his eyes off of Luxury’s title belt. MPT said that he had been in PCW since it’s beginning and that he was the PCW champion long before Luxury. MPT was cut off by James Brown’s “Living in America” and out came Scotty Aboot wearing a ridiculous looking Uncle Sam outfit. Aboot made a half hearted attempt to convince the crowd that he had changed his ways and that he was now proud to be in America. He then pulled out the Canadian flag and held it up proudly. Aboot went on to say that he would be victorious later in the night in the three way match and regain “his” PCW championship. Next out came PCW president Gabe Ramirez with his entourage (AJ Kirsch, Payton and Strongman Jon Anderson.) Ramirez addressed all three wrestlers and said that they would all have a chance to prove themselves later in the night. Luxury was the last to leave the ring and Ramirez told the crowd that he was disgusted with PCW and that they should be ashamed of a champion like Luxury. He said Luxury didn’t even look like a champion and said that Jon Anderson was a “real athlete” and was someone who looked like a champion. Luxury was livid. Ramirez went on to say that it really didn’t matter because Luxury’s title reign would be one of the shortest in PCW’s history saying either Oliver John or Scotty Aboot would be taking the title later in the night. Luxury had to be escorted from ringside by security. The PCW President then went on to say that he was the one in control and that he had a big surprise for Oroville. He said that Jon Anderson would be the one taking on Dana Lee and Jeckels in the opening match and that his tag team partner would be “straight from ECW tapings” the Brazilian Beast… Kafu!!

#1 “Strongman” Jon Anderson and Kafu destroyed Jeckels and Dana Lee

The big men controlled this match completely and made short work of the other team. The end came when Anderson and Kafu hit their finishers simultaneously. Kafu with his Brazilian Claw Backbreaker and Anderson with his Atlas Stone Driver. One word… devastating.

#2 Brian Cage defeated El Chupacabra

This was a fast paced, hard hitting rematch between two former PCW Inter-California champions looking to get back into title contention. It had been several months since Chupacabra had been seen in PCW and it looked like he didn’t miss a single day as he hit Cage with everything in his arsenal. In the end it was Cage who got the victory with a small package. Solid match.

#3 AJ Kirsch w/Payton and Gabe Ramirez defeated MPT in a #1 contenders match

This match was a great back and forth match that tore the house down like everyone expected. The Oroville crowd was on their feet through the whole match. The end came when Jon Anderson came to ringside and referee Tom Castor took a nasty looking bump off of the ring apron allowing Anderson to catch MPT by the ankles and posted him in the corner. This allowed Kirsch to hit MPT with a spear and the victory. After the match Anderson got in the ring and hit MPT with a sick looking Atlas Stone Driver. MPT had to be helped to the back.

Next out came the PCW Tag-Team Champions, The Mafia, who went on to say that it didn’t matter who won the next match as they would be just like the Oroville crowd a bunch of “losers” at the anniversary show when they faced The Mafia.

#4 Team American Pride (Nate Rulz and Derek Sanders) defeated The Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend) w/Paul Isadora

These two teams were pretty evenly matched with the #1 contendership on the line. The match ended when The Mafia interfered. Nate Rulz got the pinfall over Adam Thornstowe when Venis DeMarco attempted to hit Rulz with the title belt. Rulz ducked the shot and DeMarco hit Thornstowe.

#5 Dylan Drake defeated PCW Inter-California Champion Tito Aquino w/Johnny LaRocca in a non title match

Prior to the start of the match, LaRocca and Aquino came to the ring and made an open challenge to anybody in the back or anyone in attendance that thought they could “survive” five minutes with the champ. When nobody accepted the challenge, LaRocca turned to referee Tom Castor and said “how about you?” but Castor shook his head. He then turned to ring announcer Dylan Drake and said “I know you have been training…” but Drake also turned down the challenge. LaRocca continued to insult Drake and the fans really got behind him and started chanting “Kick his ass, kick his ass!!” After a few moments, Drake announced himself as Aquino’s opponent, hit LaRocca from behind and the match began. Drake looked really good against the veteran Aquino taking some very stiff shots. In the end Drake surprised everyone by hitting Aquino with a flying cross body off the top rope for the victory. After the match, Aquino and LaRocca jumped Drake from behind and proceeded to beat him down until JJ Perez and Brian Cage made the save.

#6 Rik Luxury defeated “Old School” Oliver John and Scotty Aboot in two straight falls to retain the PCW Heavyweight Championship in and three way match

This match was exactly what you would expect from three of the best wrestlers in PCW and they pulled out all the stops. In the beginning it was more of a two on one match with Aboot and Oliver John teaming up against Luxury. The end of the first fall occurred when Aboot had Luxury on his shoulders and Oliver John was on the top rope attempting to hit Luxury with the Doomsday Device. Luxury ducked John’s flying clothesline and pinned Aboot with a victory roll. From that point on it was every man for himself as John and Aboot also started exchanging and breaking up each other’s pinfall. The second and final fall came when a miscue happened between Aboot and John as Aboot shot John into the ropes and Luxury shoved Aboot out of the way catching a surprised John with a school boy roll up for the victory. The Oroville Municipal Auditorium exploded. After the match, frustration set in between John and Aboot as the two went after each other and had to be restrained by security after they realized what had just happened. The show ended with Oliver John in the ring throwing a tantrum in the ring while the Oroville crowd taunted his loss.

As usual a fantastic show. PCW announced it’s return to the OMA on October the 19th.
